Learn the specifics on our Homebuyer Education page and the CHFA University website. Please note: This online education is meant to be an individual learning experience. Therefore, all borrowers must be individually certified, which means each person receiving a loan must complete the appropriate course independently. If each person on the loan is not certified, the loan process will be delayed until they are.

Updates/Announcement/Compliance Underwriting:  

CHFA is experiencing a high volume of incomplete loan files. To expedite your CHFA loan approval and avoid any delay of approval and subsequent closing and/or funding, it is critical that Participating Lenders submit complete files. Lenders should pay particular attention to the stacking orders as shown on CHFA Form 700, Compliance Approval Submission Voucher and CHFA Form 703, Purchase Submission Voucher.    

Files that are sent to CHFA missing critical documents (all documents listed on the two Submission Vouchers are critical documents) will be immediately suspended. Upon receipt of the outstanding documents, the loan will re-enter the work flow behind any newly submitted loans. This could result in a significant delay to the approval process depending on loan volume.
